Love and Circuses
Welcome to Papercoupe! I paint fantastical scenes using circus, carnival and figurative elements in vivid colors. My work explores themes of resilience, emotional health and the stories that shape us. I’m always seeking to capture how beauty is intermixed with brokenness, how good is woven into human nature, and how hope can shine through the inevitable chaos of life.
My work has been influenced by my travels and the several places I’ve called home through the years- Michigan, California, Washington and my current (and childhood) home of Calgary, AB where I live with my husband and 2 teenage girls.
